Produced Armenian agricultural goods climb 1.1% to AMD 104 bln in January-April
YEREVAN, June 14. /ARKA/. Volume of produced agricultural goods in Armenia jumped by 1.1 % to nearly 104 billion drams in January-April of this year from the analogical period a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.
The total volume of produced agricultural goods and fishery increased by 1.9% to over 110.2 billion drams within January-April of this year from the same period in 2011.
According to the press-release, volume of cattle-breeding in April fetched nearly 31.1 billion drams, up by 1.3% from April of a year earlier, plant-growing- about 7.8 billion drams, rise by 7.3%, and fishery- over 1 billion drams ( by 23.2%).
Sale of meat of cattle and small livestock and poultry (live weight) climbed by 1.1% in April from the same month last year to 9,2 thousand tons: of them the largest sales were recorded in Gegharkunik province of Armenia- 1,5 thousand tons, and the capital- 0,1 thousand tons.
According to the source, year-on-year volume of milk production remained unchanged, 75,1 thousand tons. The highest indicator of milk production was recorded also in Gegharkunik province- 14,3 thousand tons.
At the same time, year-on-year egg production rose by 6.3% to 80.4 million eggs. Kotayk region is leader in producing eggs, 15.5 million eggs ( up by 19.2%).
In Armenia volume of fishery and fish-breeding in April was 563.1 tons (wholly sold), advancing by 23.2% from the same month a year earlier. At the same time the volume of fishery and fish-breeding in the country decreased by 8.9% in April from March. ($1 – 414.6 drams). -0-
