YEREVAN, February 21. /ARKA/. Pure Energy nongovernmental organization signed yesterday a cooperation memorandum with Electrosevkavmontazh LLC to contribute to the process of democratization of energy area in Armenia, the Pure Energy organization’s press office reports.
The organizations have committed to explore pure energy field in Armenia.
Vahe Davtyan, chairman of the Pure Energy, pointed out shaping and strengthening economic and market relations in the pure energy area and in business segment as one of the steps to be taken in accordance with the memorandum.
“It is very important in this context to foster stable and sustainable development of entrepreneurship in energy sector,” he said stressing that the organization has already started promoting establishment of cooperation between energy companies.
Davtyan said the Pure Energy will unite the sector’s flagship companies within a few months.
He said the signing of the memorandum with Electrosevkavmontazh, such a large economic entity, is the first important step toward implementation of this strategy.
Tigran Grigoryan, Electrosevkavmontazh CEO, on his side, pointed out the necessity of exchanging information between organizations.
“Armenia’s energy area is frozen in terms of information,” he said. “It seems the only problem of Armenia’s energy system is the increase in prices for natural gas, while there are many no less important other problems here.”
Grigoryan expressed confidence that the Pure Energy LLC will manage to fill this information gap by conducting scientific conferences, trainings, round-table discussions and other events.
He pledged support to the Pure Energy.
The Pure Energy LLC was established in December 2012 for contributing to the Armenian energy system’s security and promoting energy development in the country.
One of the organization’s goals is comprehensive exploration of room for developing alternative energy in Armenia.
