Russia will provide Armenia with a $47 million aid and also 130 million rubles in assistance under a grant agreement the signing of which has been approved today by the Armenian government.

YEREVAN, March 26. / ARKA /. Russia will provide Armenia with a $47 million aid and also 130 million rubles in assistance under a grant agreement the signing of which has been approved today by the Armenian government.

Deputy finance minister Pavel Safaryan said the money will come as technical assistance to the process of Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

He explained that the money will be used to improve customs administration, technical regulations, to implement sanitary, phytosanitary and veterinary measures. Part of the money will go to statistics, industry and general information.

Russia will also provide Armenia with necessary equipment, devices and software for the provision of corresponding services. It will also ensure training and retraining of Armenian specialists.-0-
