YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/. Russia should intensify its support for Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, Vladimir Yevseev, head of the Caucasus unit of the Institute of CIS Countries, said Thursday in Novosti International Press Center.
He said even now, amid complicated political developments, the republic shows economic success – it has accomplished a great deal in expanding its land areas under crop and developing hydro energy.
“If under such circumstances the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is developing, I think Russia should increase its assistance to it, especially taking into account that this republic is not alien to Russia,” Yevseev said.
Karabakh recorded a 9% economic growth in 2013 and a 9.9% GDP growth 2012.--0---
