Russian gas price to go down to $189 for Armenia as export duties abolished: Putin

YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. Russia and Armenia have reached an agreement about Russian gas supplies to Armenia with one thousand cubic meters price set at 189 dollars, Russia’s president Putin told a press conference in Yerevan Monday.

After the negotiations of the two presidents a number of documents were signed on gas supplies.

In particular, the sides signed an agreement about pricing procedure and abolishment of export duties for gas supplies to Armenia.

Earlier, Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan said the Russia gas costs 189 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters plus 30% customs duty, i.e. a total of 270 dollars.

Apart from this, Gasprom Export ojsc and ArmRosgasprom signed a contract obliging the Russian gas holding to supply up to 2.5 billion cubic meters of gas to Armenia every year; the price will be defined by the Russia gas pricing formula. In 2012, Gasprom’s gas supplies to Armenia totaled 1.7 billion cubic meters. –0-
