SCR participating at Expo-Russia Armenia 2012 exhibition
YEREVAN, October 25. /ARKA/. South Caucasus Railway CJSC said Thursday it is participating these days at the fifth annual Russian-Armenian industrial exhibition Expo-Russia Armenia 2012, held in Yerevan, October 24-26.
Chairman of Armenia’s National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan and the leader of Prosperous Armenia party, the president of "Multi Group" concern Gagik Tsarukyan gave welcome speeches at the opening ceremony.
At the exhibition, SCR presented its investment obligations, activity over restoring the infrastructure and rolling stock, as well as over increasing the volume of freight and passenger traffic. The company presented information technologies used today on the Armenian railway, such as ACS freight, ACS booking and sale of passenger tickets, system of management and monitoring of operational infrastructure facilities, vehicle control and management “M2M” system.
Projects aimed at improving the quality of passenger service and the company’s social policy have also been introduced.
The purpose of the Armenian-Russian industrial exhibition is to develop economic, scientific and technical as well as cultural cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia, strengthening relations between the two countries, the development of joint business, trade, economic and investment relations. -0-
