Second Armenian-Russian interregional forum to be held on Saturday
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. The Second Armenian-Russian interregional forum "Armenia and Russia. Interregional Dialogue 2012 "will be held on Saturday in Yerevan, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration told ARKA.
The forum will be attended by about 300 representatives of central and regional governments, businesses, non-governmental organizations of Russia and Armenia, as well as delegation from 13 Russian regions and from all regions of Armenia. The keynote speakers are Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, who co-chair the joint Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
During the forum the sides are scheduled to sign a number of agreements on co-operation between Armenian Vayots Dzor region and the Archangelsk region of Russia, as well as between Armenian Lori region and the Russian-run South Caucasian Railway, which operates Armenia’s rail roads.
After the plenary session the sides will meet for round table discussions on a wide set of questions. The first forum was held in 2011 April. The most important document signed a year ago was about construction of a 32 km long railway stretch between Vanadozr and Fioletovo. -0-
