YEREVAN, July 29. / ARKA /. Six of the seven Armenia-based insurance companies were among the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers in the second quarter of 2014, having paid a total of 1.2 billion drams in various taxes, according to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).
It said that some 1.8 billion drams or 98.3 percent of all paid taxes were direct taxes.
The leading company by size of paid taxes was Reso (319 million drams). It was followed by Rosgosstrakh Armenia (304.7 million), Ingo-Armenia (214.4 million), Nairi Insurance (206.6 million) Sil Insurance (93.2 million) and Armenia Insurance (76.7 million).
Overall, the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers paid 325.9 billion drams in various taxes in the first half, up from 313.7 billion drams paid in January-June 2013.
Topping the list is Armenia’s national natural gas distributor Gazprom Armenia, which paid 23.9 billion drams against 19.4 billion drams paid in January-June 2013. -0-. ($1 – 406.52 drams). -0-
