YEREVAN, April 7. / ARKA /. Some 16,874 real estate transactions were made in 2014 February, a 15.8 percent increase over 2013 February, according to the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre. The number of such transactions in February this year was almost 68 percent higher when compared to January, it said.
The largest number of real estate transactions -34.6%- was registered in Yerevan and the lowest number in Vayots Dzor region, which accounted only for 2.4% of all such deals.
The average market price of privately-owned homes in Yerevan and beyond it in February 2014 did not change if compared with January, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre said.
It said 415 such homes were sold and bought this past February, including 103 homes in Yerevan.
The highest prices for such homes in Yerevan were in the administrative districts of Kentron and Arabkir – 476,100 and 383,000 drams per one square meter of housing respectively and the lowest - in Nubarashen district – 150,500 drams.
The highest prices for privately-owned homes outside the capital were in Tsaghkadzor resort town in Kotayk region – 305,000 drams per square meter, while the lowest prices were in Dastakert (Syunik region) and Tumanyan (Lori Region) communities - 11,610 and 12,000 drams respectively.
