YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. Some of the roads in Armenia’s north were closed as of Monday 10 o’clock in the morning due to snowstorm, the country’s ministry of emergencies reported.
Problems occur while driving on inter-community roads of Stepanavan region (Lori province) and at Selim Pass, as well as on Sotk-Karvachar, Sisian-Goris and Artik-Alagyaz roads, at certain sections of “Chayniy” and Tigranashen serpentines, Dilijan serpentine and Spitak pass.
Difficulties may occur also on Yerevan-Sevan highway, roads from Spitak to Yerevan, from Vanadzor to Alaverdi, from Saravan to Zanger and on all roads of Siunik region in the south.
The ministry advises to drive on the mentioned roads only in exceptional cases, with winter tires on. Yet, national and inter-community roads are mainly passable. –0--
