Special commission to check quality of new residential buildings in Gyumri

A special commission set up by a decree of Armenian Urban Planning Minister Samvel Tadevosyan will check the quality of new residential buildings in Gyumri, the ministry’s press office reported on Wednesday.
YEREVAN, September 26. /ARKA/. A special commission set up by a decree of Armenian Urban Planning Minister Samvel Tadevosyan will check the quality of new residential buildings in Gyumri, the ministry’s press office reported on Wednesday.
The commission will check 38 buildings with 1,756 apartments built by Glendale Hills as part of the housing program in quake-stricken areas. The buildings will be commissioned soon.
The commission headed by Vahan Sargsyan, deputy director of the office in charge of implementation of urban planning ministry’s projects, is made up of specialists of the office and the state urban planning inspection as well as the chairman of Shirak Center nongovernmental organization.
Glendale Hills will take part in the inspection. The company will eliminate defects, if any, within three days.
The commission will submit the report on the inspection results before September 29.
The city of Gyumri was destroyed by the 1988 devastating earthquake.-0---
