Total freight traffic drops 13.2% to 652,600 tons in Armenia in January

YEREVAN, March 1. /ARKA/. Armenia's total freight traffic dropped by 13.2% to 652,600 tons in January 2013, as compared to the same period of the year before, Armenia’s national statistical service reported.

Pipelines account for 36.4% of the overall volume of freight traffic or 237,600 tons, vehicles - for 32.6% or 213,000 tons, rail transport – for about 30.8% or 201,200 tons and air transport for 0.1% or 0,800 tons

According to the statistics, freight turnover was 460.3mln tons-kilometers, an increase of 17.8% from January 2012. ($1=409.22drams). –0--
