YEREVAN, October 1. / ARKA /. Total passenger traffic in Armenia in August 2013 shrank by 9.4 percent from 2012 August to 18.6 million, according to the data of the National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to statistics, the bulk of passengers – some 90.2 percent- were transported by motor vehicles. Electrical transport accounted for 8.4% of the total passengers or 1.5 million people.
According to the NSS, rail transport carried 54,500 people, or 0.29% of total passenger traffic and air transport carried 203,000 people.
