YEREVAN, October 15. /ARKA/. Tourism industry executives from Armenia and Russia’s St. Petersburg met today in Yerevan for a round-table discussion on how to boost mutual tourist visits.
“This is a step that may make bilateral relations in tourism area closer and that gives an opportunity for establishing new ties and exchanging experience,” Maria Baghramyan, head of Yerevan municipality’s division in change of tourism, told ARKA News Agency.
“We are planning to organize fun trips and press tours in the future to make Yerevan more attractive for Petersburgers,” she said.
Some 30 representatives of Armenian travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, education establishments training specialists in tourism and editors of tourist magazines were present at the meeting.
At the round-table discussion, St. Petersburg was presented as a tourist product that will be interesting to Armenian tour operators. ---0---
