YEREVAN, December 6. /ARKA/. The Armenian economy ministry’s market-controlling agency will inspect toy market in Armenia, Levon Khalikyan, chief of the agency, told journalists on Friday.
He said that the inspection of the toy market is especially important ahead of the New Year holidays, since as a rule, shoddy and health-harming toys emerge at the market right before the holidays.
Khalikyan said that a quite large batch of improper toys was seized in 2012.
He said that the results of the monitoring will be released by the end of the year. Khalikyan called on people to buy toys only in specialized shops and to demand conformity certificates to shield children from contacts with dangerous goods.
Under the law, all toys put for sale must have marking in Armenian language and conformity certificates. ----0----
