YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Zangezur copper and molybdenum factory tops the list of 1,000 major taxpayers of Armenia in 2013, says the report of the State Revenue Committee as of the end of Q4 2013.
The company paid over 37.8 billion drams to the government budget in 2013, as compared to about 31.6 billion drams in 2012, and has again topped the list of major taxpayers, according to the report.
Tax collection alone amounted to about 34.9 billion drams and a total of about 2.9 billion drams was collected by customs authorities. Direct taxes (profit tax, income tax) exceeded 16.64 billion drams, indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax) were about 5 billion and other taxes, dues and mandatory payments amounted to 16.1 billion drams.
The second biggest taxpayer in the list is ArmRosgasprom that paid about 36.1 billion drams to the budget in the reporting year (20.9bln drams in 2012). Of that, 35.7bln was collected by tax authorities and about 373.7mln drams by customs departments.
The next biggest taxpayer is K-Telecom (traded as VivaCell-MTS) having paid a total of over 30.1 billion drams to the budget, as compared to over 21.6 billion drams in 2012. Aleks Grig company that paid a total of over 18.7 billion drams in taxes and customs duties in 2013 (over 17.4bln in 2012) is the fourth in the list, followed by Armenia Telephone Company (about 15.5bln drams against 11.4bln drams in 2012).
In general, 1,000 top taxpayers paid over 665 billion drams to the government budget in 2013 against 558.5 billion drams in 2012. ($1=409.03drams). --0—
