About 200 Georgian wines may be registered in Russia
YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Georgian enterprises may submit names of 200 wines for registration in the Russian Federation, Gennadiy Onishchenko, head of Russian consumer agency Rospotrebnadzor, told state-run RIA Novosti agency.
The mechanisms for wine registration will be set for those Georgian winemakers who have successfully passed inspection and meet the Russian requirements, Onishchenko said.
“The Georgian winemakers have to submit the samples of each wine they want to register in Russia. According to our data, approximately 200 names of wines may be submitted for registration.”
Following the first inspection of Georgian winemakers and mineral water enerprises, Rospotrebnadzor allowed 36 alcohol and four mineral water producers to submit the samples of their production for registration in Russia. Overall, 93 Georgian winemakers expressed readiness to export their production to Russia. -0-
