Armavir mayor transferred to hospital ward

YEREVAN, July 23. / ARKA /. Ruben Khlghatyan, the mayor of Armavir town, who was wounded when the car he was in was blown up by a mine in Nagorno-Karabakh has been transferred today from the intensive care unit to a ward, Shushan Hunanyan, a spokeswoman for Yerevan’s Erebuni Medical Center,  told ARKA.

Ruben Khlghatyan and two other men were flown by helicopter to a Yerevan hospital after their car detonated a mine in the Kashatagh district of Nagorno-Karabakh on July 21. The driver of the car was killed on the spot. 

According to Shushan Hunanyan, the other two wounded men are still in ICU and their condition is serious. One of them, Garnik Avetisyan, suffered a spinal fracture and underwent a surgery. The other man, Arthur Baghdasaryan, suffered broken ribs and a lung injury. -0-
