Armenia’s president Sargsyan expressed condolences to Nazarbayev over plane crash in Kazakhstan
YEREVAN, December 27. /ARKA/. Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan delivered his condolences in a telegram to his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev over a military plane crash on December 25 in the south of Kazakhstan.
Officials said 27 people were on the flight, including border service officers and their acting head, Turganbek Stambekov.
“Serzh Sargsyan said his and the whole Armenian nation’s thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the victims,” the President’s Office quoted Sargsyan.
The plane went down near the city of Shymkent and was completely destroyed.
It was making its descent near Shymkent, which is the main Kazakh city in the south, some 75 miles (120km) north of the Uzbek capital, Tashkent. -0-
