Armenian contract soldier wounded in border shooting by Azeri troops
YEREVAN, February 13. /ARKA/. The cease-fire regime was broken by Azeri troops and a 22-year-old contract soldier Gevorg Melikbekyan was wounded in a border shooting, press secretary of Armenian ministry of defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan reported.
Tuesday night Azeri side opened fire at a number of borderline villages of Tavush region of Armenia (Aygepar, Movses and Chinari). No victims among civilians.
The ministry of defense says the situation is under control of Armenia’s Armed Forces.
Steps are taken to deter the provocation staged by the adversary, according to the report. –0--
