Armenian president sends letter of condolence to us president over Sandy hurricane
YEREVAN, November 1. / ARKA /. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to the President of the United States Barack Obama on the occasion of a devastating natural disaster which hit the country – hurricane Sandy.
The letter states:» I was deeply shocked with the impact of the devastating hurricane Sandy which hit the American continent, claiming dozens of innocent lives and causing tremendous material damage. Sharing Your and the US people’s grief and anguish, I wish tenacity and resilience to the families of the victims and a speedy recovery to all affected areas.”
The massive storm that started out as Hurricane Sandy slammed into the East Coast of the USA and morphed into a huge and problematic system, killing at least 74 people in the United States. Power outages now stand at more than 5.6 million homes and businesses. -0-
