Condition of popular Armenian actor Vardan Petrosyan injured in car accident stable
YEREVAN, October 21. /ARKA/. The health condition of famous Armenian actor and satirist Vardan Petrosyan who survived a car accident Sunday is currently, according to doctors, stable, head of press office of Erebuni medical center Shushan Hunanyan told Novosti-Armenia.
According to Armenia’s ministry of emergencies, the accident took place on Yeghvard-Yerevan highway Sunday night. Vardan Petrosyan was first transferred to the Yeghvard hospital (19 kilometers from Yerevan) and then to the Erebuni medical center in Yerevan.
“Petrosyan is still in intensive care unit, but his condition is stable and he is disconnected from ventilation. The actor was operated on yesterday, the doctors removed his spleen and stitched up his liver”, Hunanyan said.
Vardan Petrosyan became popular at the end of the 80ies when he, together with a beginner playwright Vahram Sahakyan, founded his own small comedy theatre “Vozniner”. In 90ies the actor moved to France and continued his career, particularly at Theatre Marigny led by Robert Hossein.
Petrosyan’s satiric shows in Yerevan are sold out for every performance. –0--
