IAC sent to Congo’s transport ministry flight data from crashed Armenian aircraft
YEREVAN, February 28. /ARKA/. The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) has sent flight data recorded on IL-76T plane to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of the Congo.
IL-76T Armenian cargo aircraft crashed in the Congo’s capital Brazzaville last November. The seven-member crew, of them five citizens of Armenia, died in the crash.
The flight data recorders were delivered to the IAC on February 26, Novosti-Armenia reported referring to Russia’s RIA Novosti.
“The flight data recorders have some mechanical defects as a result of the crash. IAC specialists managed to collect and copy the data from the recorders and send it to the Ministry of Transport of the Congo,” the source states.
The Congo’s Transport Ministry is in charge of investigating the case. -0-
