One of the two men injured in elevator accident still in intensive care unit
YEREVAN, October 29. / ARKA /. One of the two men who received grave injuries when an elevator in a newly built high-rise block of apartments fell is still in the intensive care unit; his condition is serious, but stable, the health ministry told ARKA.
Two people were killed and another two injured heavily after the elevator fell from the 17th floor.
The accident, was blamed on the cable rupture. I
"The condition of the second man is better, his treatment continues in the surgical ward," the ministry said in a statement.
According to the ministry of emergencies, the elevator was not registered in the registry and was a makeshift device for raising building materials.
The authorities opened a criminal case into the accident on charges of violation of safety rules resulting in death. -0-
