YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. Two Armenian conscripts were shot and wounded Friday while on duty. Later, one of them died in a hospital, Armenian Defense Ministry Spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.
In his words, Norayr Petrosyan and Arthur Asoyan were found with fire wounds at a guard post approximately at 11:00 local time.
They were immediately rushed to Agarak city’s hospital, where Norayr Petrosyan died. Arthur Asoyan’s injuries are not reportedly to be life-threatening.
The defense ministry’s specialists are investigating the incident.
Agarak, one of Armenia’s southern cities, is located near the country’s border with Azerbaijan’s enclave Nakhichevan and Iran. ---0---
