Two quakes recorded near Armenia’s Vanadzor in two days – ministry of emergencies
YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. A five-magnitude earthquake occurred near Armenia’s Vanadzor town on the night into Monday, the country’s ministry of emergencies reported.
The Seismic Protection Survey of Armenia said the quake was recorded at 03.38 local time 13 kilometers south-west from Vanadzor. The quake depth was 10 kilometers, according to the report.
Four aftershocks were recorded after the quake with magnitude ranging from 0.8 to 1.2.
On the day before, July 6, a 3-magnitude quake was recorded south from Vanadzor at the depth of 10 kilometers, says the report. –0--
