Armenia’s parliament opposition in crisis – expert

YEREVAN, February 18. /ARKA/. Armenian non-coalition parliament parties face a crisis today, head of political research at Yerevan-based Caucasus Institute Sergey Minasyan said.

In particular, Prosperous Armenia, Heritage, ARF Dashnaktsutiun and the Armenian National Congress say they intend to give the cabinet a vote of no-confidence, knowing well it will not have any effect, the expert told a press conference Tuesday.

The ruling Republican Party of Armenia holds 70 out of 131 seats in Armenia’s current National Assembly and, hence, is able to pass or block any decision on their own. –0--
