Armenian, Azerbaijani foreign ministers agree to continue talks on Karabakh

YEREVAN, December 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s and Azerbaijan’s ministers of foreign affairs Edward Nalbandyan and Elmar Mamediarov met Wednesday in Kiev. The meeting was then extended to co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov, Jacques Fore, James Warlick and personal representative to OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andjey Kasprshik, the press office of Armenian foreign ministry reported.

The co-chairs continued their discussion with the foreign ministers on Karabakh peace process in context of the November 19 meeting of the presidents in Vienna.

The co-chairs exchanged views on measures to relieve tension in the conflict zone, according to the report.

The ministers and the co-chairs agreed to continue the peace process discussions in the near future.
Co-chairs said they intend to visit the region for this purpose soon.
Nalbandyan and Mamediarov stressed the importance of the OSCE Minsk Group as a negotiation format and expressed their gratitude to the co-chairs for their consistent efforts in the peace process. –0--
