Armenian foreign minister to receive Honorary Doctor from MGIMO

YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. The official ceremony to award Armenia’s foreign minister Edward Nalbandyan Honorary Doctorate of MGIMO (Moscow State Institute of International Affairs) will be held Wednesday, the official website of the Institute reported.

The Honorary Doctorate of MGIMO is awarded to prominent statesmen, politicians and diplomats, as well as to scientists engaged in international relations and foreign policies.

Edward Nalbandyan graduated from the Moscow State institute of International Relations in 1978. He held various diplomatic posts in USSR embassies to Lebanon and Egypt. Nalbandyan headed Armenian embassies in Egypt, Morocco, Oman, France, Israel, and Vatican. He has been Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia since 2008. –0—
