YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today the Armenian Apostolic Church leader, Catholicos Garegin II, the government’s press office reports.
Abrahamyan thanked the Catholicos for visiting the government and stressed the importance of cooperation with the Church.
Garegin II, in return, wished the newly appointed premier and cabinet ministers success in their missions and noted that the government has plenty to do to solve many problems waiting for their solutions.
Abrahamyan vowed to make every effort to solve problems in various areas.
Prospects for strengthening relations between the government and Church as well as reconstruction of monasteries were discussed at the meeting among other issues. -0---
