YEREVAN, June 10. / ARKA /. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan is leaving today evening for an official visit to Austria, his press service reported.
It said president Sargsyan is scheduled to have a meeting with Austrian president Heinz Fischer. After the talks the sides will sign several documents designed to deepen the Armenian-Austrian cooperation in various fields. They will also hold a joint press conference for journalists.
In Vienna, Sargsyan will have also a meeting with the chairman of the National Council of Austria Barbara Pramer, Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann, Mayor of Vienna Michael Häupl, the Archbishop of Vienna and the Catholic Primate of Austria Christoph Schönborn.
Sargsyan will then visit the Austrian Chamber of Commerce to open together President Heinz Fischer the Armenian-Austrian Economic Forum and to meet with the head of the Chamber Christoph Lytle.
At the UN headquarters in Vienna the Armenian President will meet with the UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Director of the Office on Drugs and Crime, Yury Fedotov, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Li Yong, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Yukiya Amano and some other officials.
Sargsyan will attend the opening in Vienna of multifunction center "Hayastan" (Armenia), lay a wreath at the monument to the Austrian writer Franz Werfel, as well as remember the victims of the Genocide by laying flowers at the Genocide memorial in the courtyard of the Armenian Church of St. Hripsime.
The president will also visit the Mkhitarian Armenian Catholic Congregation in Vienna.-0-
