YEREVAN, April 21. / ARKA /. Google will hardly place a doodle on April 24 - the day when Armenians all around the world will mark the centenary of the Armenian Genocide because of not wanting to interfere in Turkey's relations with Armenia, cyber security expert Samvel Martirosyan told a news conference today.

According to Martirosyan, people from different countries are calling on Google to place a special doodle on April 24 to remember 1.5 million innocent Armenians killed by the government of the Ottoman Turkey in 1915-1923 and  tell the world about the first genocide of the past century.

A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google's homepage that is intended to celebrate holidays, events, achievements and people. The first Google Doodle was in honor of the Burning Man Festival of 1998, and was designed by Larry Page and Sergey Brin to notify users of their absence in case the servers crashed.

According to Martirosyan, Google never places political doodles, especially that Turkey is a big market for it. Martirosyan said if a Doodle is placed on the Genocide Day it will be seen only by the residents of Armenia.

An only Armenia doodle appeared on April 7 when Armenia marks the Maternity and Beauty Day.-0-
