Iranian ambassador to contribute as much as possible in development of relations between Yerevan and Iranian cities

YEREVAN, August 3. /ARKA/. Newly appointed Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Raeisi assured Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan today that he would do his best to make ties between Yerevan and Iranian cities closer, the Yerevan municipality’s press office reports.

He said that there is room for developing relations between the two countries’ cities to a more practical level. He stressed that those programs he saw in Yerevan give grounds for thinking that the Armenian capital has reached a new stage of beautification.

Margaryan, on his side, congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that the friendly relations between the countries would develop effectively.

“I am convinced that interaction between Yerevan and Iran will continue and the municipality will do whatever it takes to strengthen and expand these ties,” he said.

The mayor described the city programs and reforms for Raeisi and stressed the importance of cooperation with Iranian cities. He singled out tourism as a very promising area for cooperation. -0---
