YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. The Russian side did not inform Armenia about the military actions initiated by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh under the pretext of "anti-terrorist actions," Armenpress reported citing Armenian Prime Minister's Office.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said it had informed the Russian peacekeeping mission and the Russian-Turkish monitoring center about the launch of alleged "anti-terrorist operation" in Nagorno-Karabakh."

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called media reports that the Azerbaijani side allegedly warned Russian peacekeepers "in advance" about today's "anti-terrorist operation" in Nagorno-Karabakh untrue.

"The information was communicated to the Russian contingent a few minutes before the start of hostilities," she said.

Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Ministry said the Azerbaijani armed forces violated the ceasefire along the entire line of contact with rocket and artillery strikes. -0-
