Pashinyan invited to attend 3rd Landlocked Developing Countries Conference in Rwanda in 2024

YEREVAN, December 15. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Thursday UN Under Secretary-General, High Representative for Landlocked Developing Countries Rabab Fatima.

The Prime Minister emphasized the holding of the Ministerial Meeting of Landlocked Developing Countries in Yerevan and expressed confidence that the discussions will be effective.

Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the cooperation of landlocked states and the implementation of development-oriented programs. In that regard, the Prime Minister referred to the possibilities of reopening communication channels in the region and the steps taken by the Armenian government in that direction.

Rabab Fatima noted that the meeting held in Yerevan under the title "Promoting equal, affordable and inclusive transport connectivity for sustainable and resilient economies" is the formal thematic meeting to be organized ahead of the Third Conference of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC) to be held in Kigali in June, 2024.

On behalf of the UN Secretary General, the UN Under Secretary-General invited Prime Minister Pashinyan to attend the event in Kigali. -0-
