President Sargsyan attends EPP summit in Brussels

Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan participated in the summit of the European People's Party (EPP) in Brussels on Thursday, his press service reported.
YEREVAN, June 25. / ARKA /. Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan participated in the summit of the European People's Party (EPP) in Brussels on Thursday, his press service reported.
The summit, chaired by EPP chairman Joseph Dole was attended by the president of the European Council Donald Tusk and European Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker, as well as by the heads of EPP and Eastern Partnership Program member countries.
The meeting was said to have discussed Eastern Partnership related developments after the Riga summit, as well as some issues concerning the agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the European Council.
"Today, late in the evening president Sargsyan will return to Armenia ," said the press office.
Three Armenian parties - the Republican Party of Armenia, Orinats Yerkir (Country of Law) and Zharangutyun (Heritage) were granted in 2012 the status of observer in the European People's Party.
EPP is represented in all political institutions of the European Union and the Council of Europe. -0-.
