The main provisions of a statement signed November 9 by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan to stop the war in Nagorno-Karabakh are being implemented without serious incidents, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told a press briefing on Friday.
According to her, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh continues to stabilize, the ceasefire is holding on and no provocations have been observed against the Russian peacekeeping contingent deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“These positive tendencies are a weighty proof of the correctness of the line, which was approved by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, and is now being fully implemented by the countries in practice. This attitude prevails also among those of our foreign partners who do not think in terms of geopolitics with zero-sum games,”Zakharova said.
She also noted that the full implementation of November 9 statement remains in the focus of attention of the Russian leadership."
Zakharova said that during this week the Russian peacekeepers continued to facilitate the return of displaced persons to Artsakh, searched for missing servicemen and bodies of dead soldiers.
