Tashir group of companies says Azerbaijani accusations against Samvel Karapetyan are outrageous
YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. The Tashir group of companies, owned by Russia-based billionaire of Armenian descent Samvel Karapetyan, slammed Azerbaijani authorities today for placing Karapetyan on the international wanted list.
It emerged earlier today that Azerbaijani prosecutors opened a criminal case against Samvel Karapetyan on charges of transporting ammunition to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone aboard civilian planes.
"All the accusations against the chairman of the Tashir group of companies Samvel Karapetyan are absurd and ungrounded. The only fact that the Azerbaijani authorities continue to put forward deliberate and false accusations against the citizens of the Russian Federation is outrageous and unacceptable," the Tashir group of companies said in a statement.
“I am amazed at how persistently the Azerbaijani authorities continue to concentrate on their fantasies. It would be better if they directed their efforts at restoring the region destroyed by them,”said the chairman of the Tashir group of companies Samvel Karapetyan.
For many years Samvel Karapetyan, initiated both in Armenia and in the Republic of Artsakh and implemented exclusively social and humanitarian projects such as construction of schools, hospitals, kindergartens and churches. Many of these buildings were destroyed by the Azerbaijani army and many civilians were killed.
The Tashir group of companies and Samvel Karapetyan personally continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the Armenian people and the civilians affected by the last autumn 44-day war in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone unleashed by Azerbaijan together with Turkey. - 0--
