YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan resigned late Thursday April 3, but continues being the deputy head of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), vice-speaker and member of RPA executive council Eduard Sharmazanov said.

Resignation is not an end of a politician’s life, Sharmazanov said in his interview to Shant TV.

Speaking about the next premier, Sharmazanov said he must enjoy the confidence of the president and the political majority.

A new premier is appointed within ten days after cabinet’s resignation. The government is formed within twenty days after premier’s appointment. –0--
