98.6% of social spending planned in Armenia’s 2013 government budget performed

YEREVAN, May 31. /ARKA/. Atom Janjughazyan, Armenian deputy finance minister and treasury secretary, presenting today the 2013 budget performance report to lawmakers, said 98.6% of the planned social spending has been performed. “AMD 301.7 billion was planned to be spent on social needs,” he said.

Janjughazyan also said social spending made up 26.2% of the 2013 government budget total spending – by AMD 5.5 billion more than that of the previous year’s budget.  

According to the finance ministry, the 2013 budget revenue amounted to AMD 1071.4 billion, spending to AMD 1142.9 billion and deficit to AMD 71.5 billion. ($1-413.28). -0----
