YEREVAN, March 19. / ARKA /. Ambulance vehicles in Armenia will be equipped with Armenia-made tablets for doctors to get detailed information about the call and the patient, deputy health minister Vahan Poghosyan told a Wednesday news conference.
"We will equip ambulance vehicles with Armenia-made tablets so that before doctors arrive at the patient’s house they know what diseases the patient suffers from. After delivering medical assistance the doctors will also fill in an electronic form about the patient and send it to the database," Pogosyan said,
Armenia has www.1-03.am ambulance portal. It will include also information about calls and the activities of the ambulance services in Yerevan and regions.
Introducing the upgraded portal of the ambulance service, Sevak Minasyan, project manager of Locator company, said due to GPS systems installed in ambulances, ambulance station managers can monitor vehicles location, their status and even the amount of fuel in the fuel tank.
"All this should further increase the effectiveness of the service," Minasyan said.
According to official numbers, last year the ambulance service in Yerevan received 218,597 calls. Some 39,530 patients were hospitalized. -0-
