AMD 37.1 billion to be allocated this year in Armenia for paying social benefits to about 104,700 families

YEREVAN, January 30. /ARKA/. Armenia's government set today sizes of family and other social benefits, emergency financial assistance and benefits for children at age under 2.

Some 104,685 families in the country will enjoy benefits this year.  

The government intends to allocate AMD 37.1 billion this year for paying social benefits to particular categories of people. 

The government will earmark AMD 2.4 billion for benefits for 11,200 children under 2 – the government will pay AMD 18,000 for each child every month. 

Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artem Asatryan, presenting the package to the Cabinet ministers, said that the basic component of social benefit will be AMD 16,000, and birth benefit AMD 50,000. 

Besides, AMD 25,000 will be given to those parents whose children start attending school, and AMD 50,000 will be provided to families in the event of their member's death. ($1 – AMD 409.03).--0--
