AMD 4.5 million to be provided to Yerevan municipality for repaving city streets
YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Armenian government decided today to provide AMD 4.5 million to Yerevan municipality for repaving the city streets.
“Thanks to the allocated funds, about 644,000 square meters of traffic areas and 37,500 square meters of sidewalks will be covered with new asphalt and 15,000 meters of curbs will be laid along them,” Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan said at today’s Cabinet meeting.
The mayor also said that the cover has a five-year guarantee, and the contractor companies ought to repair the road covers throughout three years.
“Everybody has noticed that large-scale road construction and repair are under way in Yerevan, ordered and overseen by the president,” Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said. “We see the appearance of out city is changing and we receive positive feedback from our citizens.” ($1 – AMD 406.33). -0-
