YEREVAN, March 24. / ARKA /. A popular Armenian performer and showman Aram Mp3, selected to represent Armenia at this year’s Eurovision song contest in Denmark, will be the first to perform in the first semifinal, the official website of Eurovision.tv said.
It said the running order for the semi-finals was decided this year - as it was in 2013 - by the producers of the shows and approved by the EBU Executive Supervisor Jon Ola Sand and the Chairman of the Reference Group, Dr. Frank Dieter Freiling.
Other participants of the first semifinal on May 6 are Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Iceland, Albania, Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belgium, Moldova, San Marino, Portugal, the Netherlands, Hungary and Montenegro.
The second semifinal, on May 8, will feature Malta, Israel, Norway, Georgia, Poland, Austria, Lithuania, Finland, Ireland, Belarus , Macedonia, Switzerland, Greece, Slovenia and Romania.
Aram Mp3 will perform “Not Alone,” which has over 1.2 million hits on YouTube – currently more than other Eurovision entries. Betting agencies across Europe have named Armenia as a possible winner of this year’s contest. -0-
