Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 21006

As of 11:00 on Tuesday, June 23, there were 10,144 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report.  In total, 21,006 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 372 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 418 new infection cases and 12 deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.

YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Tuesday, June 23, there were 10,144 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report.  In total, 21,006 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 372 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 418 new infection cases and 12 deaths have been recorded since yesterday’s report.

The 12 people who died yesterday were four women aged from 60 to 81 and eight men aged from 53 to 82. They all had chronic diseases.

As many as 126 people infected with the coronavirus have died in the country from other diseases.
According to the report, 98,117 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 10,364 COVID-19 patients are being treated now.

A state of emergency was declared in Armenia on March 16, 2020 to curb the spread of the coronavirus, and then extended three times. The latest decision, dated from June 12, extends the state of emergency until 17:00 July 13. -0---
