Armenia’s confirmed COVID-19 cases rise to 34462

As of 11:00 on Saturday, July 18, there were 23,123 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report.  In total, 34,462 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 631 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 461 new infection cases, 11 deaths and 631 recovered patients have been recorded since yesterday’s report.

YEREVAN, July 18. /ARKA/. As of 11:00 on Saturday, July 18, there were 23,123 recovered COVID-19 patients in Armenia, the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention says in its daily report.  In total, 34,462 confirmed COVID-19 infection cases and 631 deaths have been reported in the country. This means that 461 new infection cases, 11 deaths and 631 recovered patients have been recorded since yesterday’s report. 

The 11 people who died yesterday were 7 women aged 53, 53, 64, 74, 59, 92 and 81 and 4 men aged 68, 88, 62 and 69. All of them had chronic diseases.

According to the report, 145,083 tests for the coronavirus have been carried out in Armenia. Some 10,507 COVID-19 patients are being treated now. 

A state of emergency was declared in Armenia on March 16, 2020 in order to curb the spread of coronavirus, and then was extended four times. Thus, according to the decision of the government of July 13, the state of emergency is valid in Armenia until 17:00 on August 12.

The restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activities introduced on March 24 were lifted on May 4, and on May 18, public transport, gyms, kindergartens, and catering facilities resumed operating. --0---
