YEREVAN, March 31. /ARKA/. Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union (CU) will bring about a gradual improvement of living standards and reduction in migration, Armenia’s premier Tigran Sargsyan said Saturday at the conference on opportunities and challenges of CU membership for Armenia.
GDP per capita in the Customs Union is three times as high as in Armenia, which means the standard of living is, on average, higher in the CU than in Armenia, Sargsyan said.
International experience shows integration is improving the standard of living step by step, the premier said.
The second important factor is the free labor movement within the CU, which will reduce migration risks considerably, according to the premier. –0--
