YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s government appropriated 6 million euros from EU funds for modernization of agricultural colleges this year, Armenia’s minister of education and science Armen Ashotyan told reporters Wednesday.
This year the ministry will continue reforms that were started long years ago with assistance from the EU and other international organizations, Ashotyan said in presenting the ministry’s priorities in educational field for 2014.
As to other reforms in the field, Ashotyan said, the ministry will continue testing of textbooks this year. Under the testing program, textbooks are being tested in some 80 schools during a year, before release. This allows establishing shortcomings and improving quality of textbooks, Ashotyan said.
The minister also said his agency will revise initial school rating program this year. A pilot project for this will be launched on January 18, he said. –0--
