YEREVAN, August 20. /ARKA/. Armenia’s ministry of emergencies and Yerkrapah Union of Volunteers signed a memorandum of cooperation in Yerevan on Tuesday, the press office of the ministry reported.
The head of the ministry Armen Yeritsyan praised the cooperation with Yerkrapah that enables the parties consolidating their efforts in civil defense.
The minister said he was confident the document provisions will become reality.
The head of Yerkrapah council lieutenant-general Manvel Grigoryan was awarded Noy Honor Cross by the minister for close cooperation with the ministry and great contribution to safeguarding the frontiers.
Tens of Yerkrapah members were awarded medals for their efforts and contribution to rescue operations.
Head of Yerkrapah, in his turn, awarded the minister with Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan order and some fifty staffs of the ministry with medals and certificates.
Practical exercising was held in the ministry exercise center after the awarding ceremony, according to the report. –0--
