Armenia’s president emphasizes role of Public TV in upbringing of young generation
YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Armenia’s president Serzh Sargsyan visited the Public TV of Armenia on Tuesday, the presidential press office reported.
The president stressed the importance of the company’ role in patriotic upbringing of the young generation, in preparation of educational, cultural, patriotic and other useful programs popularizing national and universal human values.
The president saw the works on raising the technical quality and the level of the content, and was informed about current problems and future programs.
Accompanied by chairman of the Public TV board Ruben Jaghinyan and the executive director of the TV company Margarita Grigoryan, the president visited the studios and the news service and talked to the staff.
During his visit the president participated in ‘Interview’ TV program.
The Public TV of Armenia is a state-owned company. Apart from Armenia it is broadcast in CIS, Europe, Near and Middle East, USA and Canada, Northern Africa, Siberia, Far East and Australia. –0--
